Kateryna Kasatkina

Kateryna Kasatkina, PhD. is researcher at Institute of European Studies and International Relations.  She has a Ph.D. in World History. In her dissertation project “Transformation of U.S. Policy towards Cuba (1953 – 1979)” examines the analysis of factors which influenced the formation of the U.S. Cuban policy and determined the nature of its transformation in a given period. 
Before arrival to Slovakia, she had worked at Department of Social Study, Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine and as researcher in US Studies.  Over the past three years she had taught a History of Ukraine and Ukrainian Culture course. She has extensive experience working with foreign English-speaking students from India, Nigeria, Morocco, Bulgaria. She had participated and led the Discussion Club for students to remain aware of developments related to the evolving Ukrainian and World History field.
