Graduate's profile
The general aim of education is to prepare graduates who will be able to actively participate in the life of a society transformed by the influence of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the context of dynamically changing labour market conditions. The programme is designed with a certain degree of interdisciplinarity to create sufficient space for the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and international experience, while at the same time ensuring that students acquire sufficient economic, legal, managerial and linguistic competences necessary for the implementation of professional solutions in the field of digital media and communication in society-wide practice.
Graduates of the master's degree in media studies are characterized by flexibility of thinking, adaptability to new conditions and challenges on the labour market, the ability to use the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills and to apply interdisciplinary approaches in solving problems of the knowledge and creative economy. They are able to work creatively with data and information, to search, analyse, organise, create, share and communicate different forms of information, and at the same time are prepared to design and manage projects, analyse trends and forecast developments in the digital society. In the given context, it is significant that they are able to identify an appropriate strategy for communication, integrate and combine already known solutions and thus create original, non-traditional, unique solutions, while being competent to deal with new challenges and threats of the hybrid information space. In addition to an overview of the state of knowledge in the field of media and communication studies focused on digital media and communication, graduates are naturally familiar with the basics of scientific work and research methodology in the field, enabling them to continue their doctoral studies. They are also familiar with the legislative and ethical frameworks of the impact of digital media on a changing society. At the same time, graduates have acquired the habit of familiarising themselves with and following the latest trends in the field even after their formal education, which is strategically important in the context of the knowledge society.
