doc. RNDr. Eduard Hozlár, CSc.

University associate professor RNDr. Eduard Hozlár, CSc., graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague, majoring in numerical mathematics. He served as a university professor at the College of Economics (now the University of Economics) for a full 22 years. He earned his CSc. degree at the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University in the field of Control Theory and Planning. There, he began to specialize in the field of economic-mathematical methods, focusing primarily on stochastic programming. Upon his return to the University of Economics in Bratislava, he devoted himself to teaching courses in the fields of mathematical programming, operations research, and programming languages. He was also deeply involved in applied research, where he addressed a number of practical business and sector-specific problems. His publications focused on the theoretical aspects of selected problems in multi-criteria decision-making and on textbooks for stochastic programming and operations research. From 1994 onward, he worked as an analyst at investment and financial institutions; later, as a senior manager at a factoring company, he focused on the management of risk assets. After returning to teaching at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences (FSEV), he has been teaching mathematics and statistics, as well as business finance. In his research, he strives to combine his practical knowledge with the development of the academic discipline of multi-criteria decision-making.
At the Institute of Economics, he teaches the following courses:
- Mathematics 1
- Mathematics 2
- Practicum I, II
