Internationalization
The Institute is integrated into the international research environment through participation in international research networks (e.g., the National Transfer Accounts Network, the Financial Geography Network), international research grant schemes (Interreg Slovak-Austria), the recruitment of foreign doctoral students (Adamu Braimah Abille, MSc. from the Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Turkey, PhD. received in 2025; Abubakar Dobi Lawal, MSc. from the University of L’Aquila, Italy, current PhD. student), by welcoming Fulbright Scholarship recipients (prof. Charles A. M. de Bartolome, University of Colorado Boulder, United States), and by the international research activities of the Institute’s core research staff (e.g., sabbatical research stay at the University of Groningen in Netherlands).
