Accommodation
Basic information concerning accommodation at university dormitories – Mlyny residence https://mlyny.uniba.sk/en/
You can reserve accommodation for the Spring term from 1.12.23 – 10.12.23 or till filling of capacities, possible second round from 7.1 till 14.1.
For this academic year there will be only two-bedded and three-bedded rooms available for exchange students. Students will be assigned to VB (Štúrak) building, which is 12 storey building with a so-called unit system in which sanitary facilities are shared amongst four rooms, which is in total for 10 people. Half unit (two rooms) has its own fridge. Kitchen is available on the floor. Gallery of rooms and shared sanitary facility at VB building: https://mlyny.uniba.sk/en/about-us/galeria/. All rooms are same-sex rooms, no mixing is possible. This also applies to the bathrooms.

The price includes internet and bedding. Students are expected to clean their rooms themselves.
Once accommodated, the student can move in and out of the building since the turnstiles are automatic and operating 24/7.

Erasmus students are required to pay the full price of accommodation.
Students from 3rd countries (national stipend programme and other non-European exchanges, excluding Erasmus) are required to pay 200€ reservation fee. Confirmation of accommodation for visa purposes can be issued only after payment.
Should a student not arrive to the residence, they will be charged for the first month of accomodation, the rest of the price will be returned to the same bank account.
Should a student not communicate with the accommodation facility, refuse to pay for the accommodation according to aforementioned instructions or pay at all, or ignore any appeals from the residence, the residence is entitled to cancel their accommodation contract or reservation and the student would loose the possibility to ask for accommodation again.
Students must be 18 years of age or older to sign the contact for themselves.
