Dagmar Gombitová graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (1985) and Public Policy at the Faculty of Economics, Comenius University in Bratislava (2008). She worked at the Medical Faculty of Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Košice and Faculty of Chemical Technology in Bratislava. In 1993, she started to work as consultant on EU-funded projects. Since January 1997, she has been involved in monitoring and evaluation, starting with the EU's pre-accession programmes, and continued with interventions funded by various donors in different fields. She has been focused on training and coaching activities in monitoring and evaluation. Besides that, she provides methodological support, quality control, and management of evaluation teams and assignments. Dagmar initiated the establishment of the Slovak Evaluation Society and participates in its activities. She is the author of the first Slovak handbook on monitoring and evaluation, editor of publications on monitoring and evaluation, a member of the European Evaluation Society and member of the International Development Assessment Society IDEAS. As part of her doctoral studies, she examines strategic decision-making in public policies in the context of behavioural economy.
