Alexandra Poláková-Suchalová

Mgr. Alexandra Poláková-Suchalová, PhD.

Alexandra Poláková Suchalová has been working at the Institute of Public Policy at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of Comenius University as a teacher and researcher since 2010. In the same year, she completed her doctoral studies with a focus on the theory of politics. In her dissertation she dealt with the issue of social housing in Slovakia. In addition to pedagogical activities, she is engaged in the implementation of research projects, focused mainly on the use of various qualitative methods. She is the author of case studies, both scientific and pedagogical in various fields, such as social affairs, public involvement in public policy-making at the national and self-government level. She also works as a lecturer and researcher for the Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic in the field of civic participation research, its processes and evaluation, and also lectures seminars and workshops focused on qualitative methods for various target groups (public officials, NGOs, etc.).
