Gabriele Messina

Gabriele Messina graduated with honours in International Relations at University of Palermo in 2016. In 2015 and 2016 he worked as summer school assistant at University of Hertfordshire and University of Westminster in UK. Last year, he took part as guest researcher at the “XV cultural exchange programme between Italian and Maltese governments” where he focused on Mediterranean migration flows and Malta’s perspective on migration. Currently, he is researcher at University of Saint Gallen at the Faculty of Social sciences, Switzerland. As journalist, he writes for several newspapers and media agencies in Italy. He also works as export manager in an international pharmaceutical company focusing on contracts and investments abroad. In October 2017, he joined the faculty at the Institute of European Studies and International Relations (Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University) as research fellow. His fields of interest include media, migration, governance and HR. Currently, he heads the management board of the Mediterranean Institute of International Studies.
